This is a great Lego set
This is a great Lego set. I like how they included all the characters as mini-figs. The house opens up on hinges to show the detail inside. I wish the house opened up a little smoother and that the roof sat on top a little better. I also think a lot of the extra pieces they provided for the mini-figs might be uneccesary but that really comes down to personal preference.Overall, highly recommended.

Great Lego Set
This is a very detailed Lego Set. It’s so fun to build and every detail makes you want to have the whole simpsons town!! it’s fun to build alone or with your kids (7years or older) and it will take you aproximately 10hours to have the whole set complete.Instructions are very detailed and easy to understand.Cons: it lacks of a mat or something that resembles the garden or simpsons driveway. That would be a great extra.

Super adorable. Any fan will love.
Love this product. I just wish Lego wasn’t so expensive and didn’t discontinue products which makes them even more expensive.Good seller though. As described, arrived on time.

Simpsons Legos…awesomeness!
This thing is amazeballs. It is built very well and very sturdy. So many features and mini builds such as the grill & piano & t.v. & car. Biggest lego build I have done. Detailed books for putting it together make it easy & fun. Lots of cool extra parts. The car and garage have great details & accessories. Numbered bags reveal characters slowly so you get a new one with each new section. Keeps it fun & exciting. A few missing people in this set that would have made it over the top awesome is Santas Little Helper, Grandpa.

This is perfect for a child facing a long hospital stay or an illness!! LOVED IT
This is so AWESOME!! We purchased this for our 11 year old daughter whom has been fighting cancer for the last three years. She had a bone marrow transplant and has been in the hospital more than she has been out. This is perfect for someone who enjoys a challenge and needs something they can do while in bed. I highly recommend this as a gift for a child that has to spend time in the hospital. The bonus is that once they have completed building the set, they can play with it for days. It includes the entire family and even their car! Plus tons of small details that make it very playable and extra special

Great for Simpsons fans. Fun build
This was a very fun build. Built with my nephew. It took several hours but was very satisfying! The rooms have enough character that they’re easily identifiable as Bart’s or Lisa’s. The house swings open and the roof is removable for easy access and viewing inside. Each figure is highly detailed.Take a star off as it’s crazy expensive.

Everything was fine till my assembly was interrupted by bunch of missing …
Very excited at first site of receiving it today. The set has many multiple bags with repeating number groups from 1 through 7. Everything was fine till my assembly was interrupted by bunch of missing pieces in bag group 4, quickly realized that the set perhaps was missing a whole bag from number 4 group. Called LEGO customer service and went on one missing piece by piece with the very patient representative, Brian and he was able to tell me that all the missing pieces were certainly from a same bag which was one of the large number 4 bag. So the assembly was stopped. The bag will be sent to me at no cost but will be from Denmark so might take 7-10 business days. Shame that this ever happened cause LEGO always have had an image of perfection somewhere back in my mind… not any more.

This fine set made a great addition to my collection of …
I grew up on the Simpsons. Imagine how excited I got when I saw this set on Amazon. Actually Amazon is the first place I learned of LEGO’s Simpsons product line. Up to this set I only bothered to buy Creator sets. This fine set made a great addition to my collection of Creator sets. Not to mention this set is full of bricks with high build-your-own creation value. Not that you’d want to take it back apart in the first place. The rooms are beautiful. This is a faithful recreation of the Simpsons house. I can’t wait to have all of Springfield.

This is a very cool looking set with a lot of small details
I’m a HUGE simpsons fan, have been for years. This is a very cool looking set with a lot of small details…. but a lot of those small details are wrong! Yeah, I’m going to be one of those picky fans (compare me to the comic book guy) that wants everything accurate. The room layout is all wrong inside the house, there are things in places where they shouldn’t be, and since when does Bart have a skating ramp? It’s a very cool set on the outside, just bummed about the inside. If you’re not a simpsons superfan like me, you’ll love it.

Great and Challenging Set.
I got this set as a birthday gift for my 7 yr old son and he was definitely excited when he opened the present. The set is expensive, but I’ve always had good experience with the quality of Lego products. The step by step instruction pics were easy enough for my kid to follow. There’s a lot of pieces and I enjoyed helping him assemble it as much as he did. I wanted a set that was challenging and this took us a couple of weeks to complete. Of all the toys that I bought for my kids, Lego seems to be the one toy that they always go back to. The only thing I hate is that there’s there’s little Lego pieces throughout the house.

The set brings together two of his favorite things: the Simpsons and Legos
I bought this for my boyfriend for his 24th birthday. I have never seen a person so excited! The set brings together two of his favorite things: the Simpsons and Legos. It took us a whole weekend of casual lego assembling to finish the set. We did other things, too, but it was difficult to walk away from the pure joy of putting together legos. The set is really well designed. The roof can be removed as it is not physically connected to the house, and the house opens on a hinge so the whole interior is accessible.. It makes it easier to play with. We were surprised by the attention to detail. The little things constructed out of tiny legos made the experience. The hammer, the fender bender on Homer’s car, the “property of Ned Flanders” stickers… It’s a great set for Simpson-Lego hybrid fans.

Excellent Set.. tons of details
First, let me say, as others have stated… this set retails for $199.99. You can get it directly at Lego.com or at a Lego Store if you have one near you. I paid $199.99 on Amazon after searching intently.Second… I absolutely LOVE the Simpsons. I have since I was 6 years old.. and that was shortly after they released the cartoon. This set was great to build, and did provide some challenge. It might be difficult for some. I wouldn’t consider myself an expert, since this was the first set I’ve build in about 15 years. But I do love building things, and have a quick eye.It features tons of details that are important to the Simpsons. The only disappointment I can list, is that they did not make Snowball II and Santa’s Little Helper. This would have completed the set. Otherwise completely fantastic. Even my friends 2-year old was having fun helping build (mind you, he was just sticking random blocks together).

Lego Does it Again!
My younger grandson (10) has gotten into the family Lego hobby in a big way. Concurrently, he is now into the Simpsons in a big way too. Needless to say that Lego’s decision to create the Simpson Lego House really hit a home run and we as grandparents bought it for his 10th birthday. It’s a big project even for Lego with over 2,000 pieces. It’s very cleverly designed giving all the Simpson cues, characters and possible scenarios. The key characters are included including Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart and Maggie. Each has their own bedroom (except Maggie whose crib is in the master bedroom) and all rooms are accessible. There are tools in the garage, a piano in the living room, TV with the Itchy and Scratchy Show playing—would there be anything else. The kids have posters reflecting their personalities and then there’s Ned Flanders with his BBQ. All in all it’s a great project to build, but also has tremendous play value if the builder digs the Simpsons.

So Much Fun!
This set is so much fun to build. I love how it has so many pieces and very detailed. It took me about three days to finish, around 2-4h a day. I really didn’t want to finish so it would last longer. I ended up with many extra pieces. What I don’t like is how the kitchen is very small. It looks great when displayed although it is huge. Meaning the depth makes it hard to fit in a shelf especially that you want to display the minifigures/mailbox in front. So what I did is open the house and make it look like a bigger one which made it look better where you can see the back kitchen door.Other than that I’m looking forward to getting the kwik-e-mart on May because I know it would be as fun to build as this one.If you’re planning to build this with others as in each person build a part that would be hard to do. It comes with three instruction manuals, but it is actually more like part 1- 2 and 3 so it is hard to start with 2 if you have not finished 1. Well you can manage, but I don’t see it being much fun.

This LEGO set is AMAZING!!
This LEGO set is AMAZING!!!! It was all my grandson wanted for his birthday. But because it included over 2700 pieces and was recommended for ages 12 and over, I had concerns. My grandson was just turning 4. But when it arrived, the joy on his face was priceless. This is probably the most complex yet easiest LEGO set we have ever put together. All the pieces came in marked bags and the step by step instructions were really easy to follow. Once completed, the roof plates come off easily so you can open the house intact to re-arrange the furniture and place the Simpson people inside. Kudos to the folks at LEGOs who designed this Simpson house. Every detail was thought of including a garage that opens, pink car, mailbox, and so many pieces of interior decor including a kitchen set, sofa, and even a toilet. Yes, it’s pricey, we paid $199 plus tax with free shipping on Amazon, but I think it is well worth it. It’s also available on the LEGO website, but I chose AMAZON because we’ve always had prompt delivery and this time was no exception. The LEGO box arrived as scheduled in a very sturdy cardboard box and the LEGO box itself didn’t have a dent or a scratch on it. My grandson hasn’t stopped playing with this set since the day it arrived. BEST LEGO SET EVER!!!!!!

A Must Have For Any Fan Of The Simpson’s Television Show
I mostly build & collect Vehicles i.e. Cars & trucks, but I also wished to build a scale model of the ubiquitous typical suburban house. But all I could find were either cabins, cottages, townhouses in an urban setting, or futuristic style houses. But then I saw the Simpson’s House Building Set 71006.And even though at that time I was unable to purchase it, the fact that it existed was in the back of my mind for future reference.I was in the position to be able to purchase it this time. That said, I was eager to get to build & collect it.It is truly an exact replica of the Simpson’s House, right down to all of the details & furnishings.A.ll in all, the Simpson’s House 71106 made for a welcome addition to my collection with it having it’s own shelf in one of my display cases

Can’t go wrong with this set. At all.
Simpsons. LEGO. That’s a winning combination any way you slice it. I guess kids of today might scratch their heads as to why the Simpsons have such a following when today’s series isn’t much to write about, but for my generation who were lucky enough to have seen the Simpsons at the top of their game (thanks to truly excellent writing), the Simpsons is a true pop cultural hallmark. The product itself is fantastic, and the set seems to have been designed precisely with series fans in mind. You can see it in the little details like the “El Barto” graffiti and “Property of Ned Flanders” mark, the latter of which is a long-running gag of the series.I’m guessing some people will find fault in that the car can’t sit the whole family inside it, but that’s being unreasonable as there are trade-offs when designing functional vehicles vis-a-vis that vehicle’s scale when ranged against a minifig. Sure, they could’ve made a car that seats all Simpsons members, but then you’d have an unusually large car, which would then lead to an unusually large garage, which would have forced the house to be bigger, and then the minifigs would now look dwarfish. The same limitations apply to the house in that it isn’t 100% accurate to the floor plan as seen in the actual TV series. The rooms are more cramped, but again, the designers had to keep the overall house size proportional to the minifigs themselves. So, no, I won’t dock points for that. The only thing that bothers me is the cool expression on the minifig’s faces save for Ned and Maggie. Since the head pieces are moulded, there aren’t alternate expressions available as there are for other minifigs with the standard head piece. Having more “alert” eyes for Bart, Homer, Lisa, and Marge would’ve improved the product. LEGO does make a Simpsons standalone minifig series where the Simpsons have wide-open eyes.I can’t wait for the second Simpsons standalone minifig series to be released so that Santa’s Little Helper and Snowball could complete the household. In the meantime, I’ve taken the liberty of placing all the series one minifigs in this house so there’d be one big Simpsons house party going on. Good times.

Best. LEGO set. Ever?
As a hardcore Simpsons fan who has been watching since the Tracey Ullman Show days, I knew I would be getting this set. At 2,523 pieces, it is the largest LEGO set that I own by a fairly significant margin. (The next largest one I own is the Haunted House, which clocks in at 2,064 pieces.) I milked it for all it was worth; eschewing the numbered bags that are designed to make the build quicker and easier, I dumped them all into a bin, put on some classic Simpsons episodes, and spent the next three days building this beast. (My estimate for the total build time is about fifteen hours. If that sounds too daunting, you could easily knock off a few if you used the numbered bags. I don’t get to enjoy a massive build like this too often, so I wanted to string it out.)It’s difficult to get the size of the set across in the photos; it really is quite large. Devoted Simpsons fans will immediately notice that the interior layout is not 100% show-accurate; unfortunately, the realities of toy production mean that making the house larger and more accurate would have resulted in a set that was easily twice as expensive, and $200 is really pushing it as it is. All the most important rooms are present, though the scale can seem a bit small at times. The kitchen is particularly crowded. It must also be noted that the layout is not consistent on the show itself– note, for example, the magic door in the kitchen that leads to various places depending on the needs of the episode in question– so it’s tough to hold any inaccuracies against this set.Once you get past that, you can appreciate the amazing detail in the set. Things like the workbench and tool set in the garage, the dented fender on Homer’s car, the posters and comics scattered around Bart’s room, the vacuum cleaner tucked into an alcove behind the staircase, and the “Property of Ned Flanders” labels on the various items Homer has “borrowed” over the years propel a great set into truly legendary territory. Most of the issues I have with the set are related to the minifigures that are included. Obviously, including the family is a no-brainer, and Ned Flanders is a similarly obvious inclusion. However, the family has a sleepy/stoned appearance that just makes them look odd, with the exception of Maggie. (I have the Collectible Minifigure Series Maggie displayed inside my house; the one included with the house is identical, but has normal wide-open eyes.) It’s understandable that TLG felt the needed to differentiate these minifigs from the ones included in the CMF series, but one would think that such details as Homer’s tie and Marge’s apron were enough. As things are, anyone who buys this set and skips or cannot find the CMF versions will be stuck with less desirable versions of most of the family, and that’s a bit of a bummer. Maggie is fine, as noted, and Flanders is okily-dokily.Another drawback is the absence of the family pets. (At least they are now available in the Simpsons CMF series two, but it honestly kinda sucks that we have to buy another Lisa and Maggie to get Santa’s Little Helper and Snowball II. Lisa is a neat variant, but Maggie is exactly the same.) It should also be noted that the floors are completely covered with tiles, making it tough to get minifigs to stay in place. This can be easily fixed by simply popping off a tile so you can lock a minifig’s feet in place, so it’s not a big deal. On the contrary, the tiled floors look sharp, and I’m glad TLG made the decision to do them like that. This set is definitely greater than the sum of its parts; its drawbacks are few, and its positives are innumerable. So, is it the greatest LEGO set ever produced? In my opinion, it is not, though it is a solid top ten, possibly even top five, contender. That said, putting aside all objectivity, it is my second-favorite set of all time. (For the record, my all-time favorite LEGO set remains the Haunted House.) It’s a must-have for hardcore Simpsons fans and lovers of great LEGO sets alike. I feel this is destined to become one of those “holy grail” sets in the years to come, so if you’re interested, better get one while you can!
