Train looks great and is easy to build!!
Train is fantastic! It is good to know that you can by the motor components separately to operate the train. There are a total of (4) additional pieces needed to operate the train with the motor.

Nephew loves it

Great Christmas Train
Love this set! we set it under our tree and it looks amazing. It took me about three hours to build it (I’m very new to Lego building) and I had fun doing it with the help of my five year old. I’m going to get parts to make it run.

Perfect Christmas Gift
This set is over 700 pieces (734 actually) and it has been a complete joy to put together with my son. I recommend the motor pack and additional track pieces if you have any ambition to grow the theme. Have fun!

Everything lego is over priced but not to bad putting the motor on this. Just plan to spend an extra $100 for everything you need to make it remote controlled.

Classic Christmas Train for Lego fans
Great Christmas set, and with extra track and a powered up setup, can be remote controlled, will need to switch the motor polarity by resoldering the leads (see on youtube)

Christmas Gift
This was a Christmas gift for my 9-year old son and we added the components to motorize it and have the train make a journey around the Christmas tree. Another fabulous Lego project!

Fun build, looks good around a xmas tree
This was a fun build. It took me maybe 3-4 hours over 2 nights to complete. I can’t speak about how the tracks laid out from the box because I bought additional tracking to go around my xmas tree.

Hard but worth it
Normally my daughter can put her LEGO gifts together all by herself but even my husband and I had to help. Good thing we started in November so we could have it up and running for Christmas…….but we love it!!

This train is wonderful. However, I would like to buy the components to power it and I can’t find them. I bought something suggested but it was not correct. Lego does not indicate on the box the item # needed?!
