What an amazing Lego build!
Lego has really outdone itself with this product. The detail is incredible, and so much fun. It was thrilling to see how basic lego pieces came together into objects such as a film projector. The three levels fit together perfectly, but are only held together at a few points, so it isn’t hard to open them up to see the great touches inside, such as the concessions area, the folding seats, etc. Very fun. It is costly, but given the number of pieces, you will get a lot of time out of it.One note: this was the first time EVER that I received a Lego set missing pieces. I didn’t let it impact the five stars because Lego customer service is amazing about replacing missing pieces.

Another amazing LEGO modular
This set is really a beautiful building. I love the detailed lobby (the red baseplate really makes it look nice), and the LEGO-inspired movie posters are a nice touch. The exterior details are beautiful as well. The upstairs theater room is a tad underwhelming, but it’s still pretty good considering the limited space there is in a LEGO modular building. I was slightly disappointed that this set includes stickers for the movie posters and marquee sign instead of using printed elements, but that’s a very minor annoyance, and the stickers still look great if you take your time and are careful when applying them.If you’re on the fence about this one, get it now while it’s still available for a reasonable price. You won’t regret it.

Lego Creator Modular Sets are worth the price of admission…The Palace Cinema is my first.
This is my first Lego modular. I must say this was a real treat to put together. I completed at my leisure over 3 night span. There were 3 missing pieces in my set, but they were common and I found replacements in my extra pieces. I ordered the replacement pieces from Lego anyway…Lego is very good about replacements. This set is highly detailed and pretty big once complete. I love the building aesthetics. I have just order the Pet Shop and will probably get the Parisian Restaurant as well when I save up a little more. This has become a new hobby. Yes the sets are expensive but the display value and use of very interesting building techniques are well worth the price of admission. I’m 33 years old…found my way back to Lego about 3 years ago and it has been a very fun journey. I’ve left my Transformer hobby for Legos…will continue to buy these modular buildings as they come out.

Shipping drama.
I was disappointed that the LEGO box arrived damaged; especially when I bought it as a gift. Two of the three tape strip closures were detached which lent me to believe that perhaps pieces might be missing. None of the interior bags had been opened and multiple bags were labeled 1, 2, and 3 for each building floor level. I hope that everything is in tact because the Birthday present won’t be built until late October 2018, my grandson’s Birthday. Because I didn’t realize this set was being retired last year and the LEGO website and brick store did not have any stock, I was forced to order it on line as I was afraid it wouldn’t be available later in the year. It was a lot of money for me to spend. I pray that the description “new” is correct and reliable, as I have no recourse in the event the LEGO set is not complete.

one of the coolest sets I own!
I love this set. All of the LEGO modular expert buildings are similar and very fun. they have great detail inside the buildings (concession stand was a nice detailed touch). This set is similar, and was very easy to take the top of the building off to look inside. They are modular, so you can attach them to the other sets (Pet store, detective office, Parisian restaurant, etc.) which is a nice touch.I’ve seen people on the LEGO facebook page complaining that there were missing pieces, but let me tell you, I have over 15 large sets (1000+ pc and some 3500+ sets) and there hasn’t been one time that I was missing a piece. Every time I think I’m missing a piece, I just spend some time looking harder, and I always find it. This is awesome quality control on LEGO’s part, and very much appreciated. In the event that someone actually is missing a piece, you can get it sent to you free from LEGO (not sure about shipping charges though). Typically, with these large sets anyway, LEGO puts in extra pieces that are commonly lost, which I think is a nice addition.I’m an avid LEGO collector/builder that is 42 years old, and they are still as awesome as they were when I was 8.

BUY! Worth every penny
This is one of the best modular sets available via LEGO. Though the set is now retired, if you’re able to find it around the $160 price point, I would definitely pick one up. This set is amazing in person and will no doubt continue to go up in value. No LEGO collection is complete without this set.The three different levels of this set have a ton of detail and as you go through the building process, you’ll continually be amazed at the overall design and structure. The truth is… once you start building a modular series LEGO set, you’ll never go back and you’ll instantly want to collect and have them all. This set is huge strides above the typical LEGO set… what’s even better, the piece to price ratio for the LEGO creator expert sets is favorable when it comes to actual price per piece (less than 10 cents per piece).I without a doubt recommend this set and think you’ll be impressed by the building process, as well as with the final product.As you can see in the images I shared of my LEGO city, this set has a certain ‘presence’ that can’t be ignored. Additionally, this set can be a stand-alone decoration piece when not set up in a LEGO scene. Another awesome build for the building lovers
This is an awesome set. My son and I are huge Lego and MegaBlok fans, and have so many that I had to do a special room in the basement as the upstairs was overfilled with sets, and this is after we deconstructed about 75% of the ones we have right after building due to the lack of room.It’s not complex, but is a bit exacting as all of these large building creator sets can be. If you’re not a fan of repetition, this may not be the set for you, but odds are you wouldn’t be buying anything like this if that was the case.For kids who are looking for bags one through twenty or whatever, they’ll be disappointed. Bags are numbered one through three, with many bags labeled one, many labeled two, and many labeled three. But they’re broken down by floor, and there is a separate book for each floor.When done, it looks great. We’ve also got the Detective Office, Assembly Square, and London Tower Bridge, so this table looks awesome.As the Lego norm, the details and small things that people don’t notice at first are numerous, and add such a wonderful level of detail to this. From the posters to the little touches inside, it’s great.Takes some time and effort, but very well worth it.

Another homerun for Lego Creator!
I’ve been putting this review off for awhile until I could get some good pictures of how I added lighting, so here it goes…Just a wonderful build from start to finish. For those of you who are adding this to your “city”, this kit makes a great corner building.Was it easy to build and how much time did it take? As with any Lego kit with 100+ bricks, an adult to help with the tricky parts will go a long way. It’s not a difficult build, but if you put one brick in the wrong place, it could set you back many steps to find the error. I took my time with this kit, so you’re looking at about 50-60 hours. It has two floors, the lobby and the theater. There is a staircase that leads to the roof, but there’s not much to do up there. The roof section is easily removed giving full access to the theater. The theater portion of the building is also easily removed giving full access to the very busy and very detailed lobby. All sections go back together with no difficulty. The cinema is modular and attaches to other buildings on both sides.Even though this is a large building and only has two levels, I found this building has more “stuff” going on inside then most of the other kits. The lobby alone will keep the kids interest for a long time. This is a very easy and good kit to play with. And with a little lighting it is a very attractive building and will be a wonderful addition to your growing city.Update 11/10/18I was asked about the lithium battery listed in the product description. It says one (1) battery is needed and not included. Unless there has been an update to the kit, there is nothing at all in the kit that would require a battery of any kind. The lighting I used for my kit I bought from Brick Loot.

Great product. Fun build. So many little details.
If you like movies and lego you have found the right set. Has all the glitz and glamour of an old theater and some new things too like a limo and concession stand. Really a cool set. I highly recommend it.

Pricey set but worth it.
My 12 year old grandson wanted this badly. He enjoyed putting it together and it was impressive finished. It’s a very pricey set, but Legos are worth keeping for the next generation.

This product is a lot of money, but so are all LEGO products. I can tell you that it takes about 16 hours to complete, so well worth it. Impressed with the details such as the doors, the facade of the building, etc.

Fun!
This is the third Lego Creator set I’ve built, and I’m pretty much hooked now. They’re a ton of fun to build and the finished product is great. I love the huge amount of detail that goes into both the interior and exterior.

Pieces Missing!!!!
Lego is perfect structure in an imperfectly structured world – that is one of the best features about it. You KNOW that every piece will be there, even with 2,000 pieces. However, I bought two expert (16+) kits recently, both over $100 and both with missing pieces. I guess the “expert” rating means “User has previous Lego kits and access to replacement parts for missing pieces.” Oh well, perfection is impossible, I guess.

Not new in the box
The box was smashed and had obviously been opened and then taped back shut. Expecting a pristine, new Lego box, this was unacceptable. I’m not sure what’s going on inside the box because I never opened it. I immediately boxed it back up to return it. This was supposed to be a gift but the box is a disaster. It was also to be given as a gift for some time in the future but I’m not about to wait around for two and a half months to see if all the pieces are actually there. Shenanigans.

Do not dislike this review
Though very detailed, it’s very flimsy. Because each floor is connected by only about 4 studs, 2 on each side. Do not dislike this review. Take this as a warning, if you’re not careful enough, it will fall… and it will break.
