Great LEGO you will not be disappointed!
When I got this from amazon I was really excited to start the build! But just so you know this is a 16 and up expert LEGO set so it might be a little hard especially for kids but it’s not to bad. The bags do not have numbers on them so that means you just dump all 13,000 pieces in one hull so that means it will be a little hard to find little pieces but I did deal with this before it’s kind of a pain but no big deal. All in all great LEGO great detail and would be a good gift! I also like that you can put lights in it! This is a great LEGO!

Looks great but it was incredibly difficult
we have a 12 year old boy, so we’ve built a lot of Lego kits over the last 10 years. But this one, we build for us… The adults.And it was hard. The hardest Lego set we’ve ever built.Getting the front end, the windows, the roof pieces… All to lineup, and click and place, is very challenging.Be ready to exercise a lot of patience. And seriously considered getting a light kit. Because the lighting it up makes it ten times more awesome!We paid 120 for the Lego set, and another 25 for the lighting kit. Totally worth it!

Item as described delivery is a different story.
This item was as described and despatched quickly no problems from that end. However the seller needs to use a different postage company in Hong Kong as Kerry express lost the parcel for around a week and then finally delivered nearly two weeks after expected. Once delivered the inner box was also creased which is also not good as this is now a collectors item.

VW T1 Camper Van Lego Set
I had so much fun building this VW Van! Organizing and finding pieces is really the only challenging aspect of building this Lego model.I thought I had lost pieces several times while building, but always managed to eventually find the missing pieces later on during the build.I am amazed by the level of detail in the model and can’t urge people enough to buy one and give it a try. You won’t regret it unless you’re weird and dislike fun and rewarding projects. So basically, if you’re willing to spend this kind of money on a toy for adults, I believe it will definitely be worthwhile!

Great fun for a “grown up” kid at heart
Bought this on the advice of a friend – provided many hours of relaxing construction with an impressive end result. I am recently retired so my former colleagues are enjoying taunting me about playing with lego bricks again. :- ) As other reviewers have noted, this set doesn’t come in numbered bags so sorting the pieces by color and size first definitely helps to keep you sane. I now have the London Bus kit on order as my next “project”.

Overall happy with the purchase
Other than this set being very expensive as any other Lego is, it’s great. I bought it for my son as his birthday present. My son turned 21 and some may think be too old for LEGO. He has been a fan of LEGO since he was young. This camper set is 16+ on difficulty and only took my son 2 days to put together. He enjoyed it while putting it together. I hoped it would take him a little longer but he is done and the finished product looks amazing just like the picture on the box. Now he is dreaming of putting together a race car which is more pieces and more complex. That might be his winter break present… This set came with two books of directions, which were very clear as any other LEGO, all parts in plastic bags. Quality set for higher price. If you or a family member like to build LEGO sets, this set will not disappoint.

Pure Fun
Pure fun, very ZEN invoking, immediate gratification every step of the way. ALL THE PARTS ARE THERE! Even with little or no LEGO experience you can build this. Kinda like “Meditation Lego” as you build.

Take your time, and don’t get in a hurry to put this together.
I’m a 76 year old woman. As a teenager, I enjoyed building model cars along with the neighbor boys. These Lego sets are just an updated model kit. However, I do wish the pieces bags for the Volkswagen camper van were numbered, like they were for the VW Beetle. I’ll figure it out! The direction pictures are easy to follow. I’ve learned I can’t get in a hurry, it’s just one step at a time. The VW Beetle and now the camper van are the first Creator Expert sets I have done. Thank you for a fun thing to do in these crazy times.

A classic!
Have this to my 9 year old who loves Lego sets. This one is probably my absolute favorite. Very very detailed in the engine and inside. We also ordered a separate light kit for the VW, which made it 10 times cooler. Highly recommend.

Great kit… and a Great gift idea
Great gift for someone really into Legos. Just remember it is an expert kit so bags are not numbered and their are twelve of them. A hint for people building would be to sort by color. Made it a lot more manageable.

Best lego I have ever purchased
There is nothing wrong with this set. It is a pretty big, nice camper van and it has so many awesome little features. Some may say it is really hard to assemble, but it’s really not. Sure, the bags aren’t numbered, but it’s not like they’re just tossed in randomly. If you find a piece and if there are multiple, you’ll find another in the same bag. This is an amazing set and I would buy it again.

VW Bus
Great build. Bags are NOT not numbered. One piece was missing, but was a common piece I could steal from the kid’s Lego bucket. Not sure if it was originally missing, if I used a wrong piece previously, or if I lost it though. It’s a bit harder due to the bags not numbered and the instructions are laid out a little differently. Love the bus and super happy with it!

This is a beautiful kit!
This kit is beautiful and has outstanding weight to it. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is that, unlike 99% of other Lego kits out there now, this kits bags aren’t numbered and, therefore, the pieces are not in build order. It was tedious to build this kit having to rifle through all bags to find the one small piece you need. We eventually worked out a system that helped, but nothing helps more than Lego labeling the bags accordingly.

Looks good but a bit expensive
This lego vehicle was a gift but I couldn’t find anywhere to have it gift wrapped and a card. The recipient won’t be building it yet they have one set they are building at the moment. The camper van seems to be a bit expensive.

Just sort out the parts by color and follow the instructions step by step. Instructions clear.
Finished model great. 2 pieces were missing, but the lego customer service form to have 2 missing parts replaces was easy to use. Did get confirmation from lego that the missing pieces will be sent to us. We are campers and this was a gift for my husband.

Fun, but handle with care
Enjoyable to build but there are some places that were just too weak to stay in place, namely the roof over the drivers area, that I had to re-engineer to make strong enough to move it. They tried to get a little cute in places and made a weaker product. Still great fun though.

Amazons great service!!
I bought this Lego set for my nine-year-old grandson for Christmas. He was very disappointed when he started putting it together as It was missing pieces. After notifying Amazon and exchanging it Amazon gave me great service upon exchanging it and they shipped it right it 2 day prime. My grandson put the new one together in one day. He plays with it every day. He has taken it on imaginary road trips and he puts it by his bed at night time. Thank you Amazon for doing a great service to your customers. And taking part in making my grandson very happy.

Promised fulfilled!
This kit delivered all of the fun I expected. I sorted all of the pieces at the start — down to the individual level — and checked the counts against the provided list. Yes, a tedious, boring effort. All parts were present and accounted for, which made the assembly process much easier (that is, no missing parts AND no searching for parts during assembly). The end result is COOL (and GROOVY!). So many neat features packed into the model — which is proudly displayed in the living room. If you’re inclined toward this project… I say go for it!
